Updates

Memphis had his first official sleepover last weekend! Jean-Claude and I were excited, but a little nervous, about sending him to spend the night with his Auntie Amanda and Uncle Chris, but he had a great time! Jean-Claude and I, on the other hand, were miserable! It felt very weird to not have him with us. We spent our ''alone'' time cleaning and watching movies. Ha! Not sure when we'll be brave enough to do that again!

Also, we had the chance to meet a long lost cousin this past weekend. My Uncle Shawn's son, Steven, whom we've wondered about for a long time track the Hill clan down and we were all very excited to finally meet him. There was a big get together at my grandparent's farm on Sunday. I imagine it must have been very overwhelming for Steven. We had a smaller get together on Tuesday night at Amanda & Chris'. It was nice. We took lots of pics and got to know him a little better.

On a much sadder note, Janet's father, Brent, passed away after a brief but courageous battle with cancer on Monday night. It was very unexpected, it feels as though the cancer came out of nowhere. But it ravaged him very quickly and we can rest easy knowing he is no longer suffering and I'm sure he will be watching over little Mira (and the rest of us!). I'm lucky to have known him. He was a very funny, happy guy! I have lots of silly memories of him. Janet, Erin and Mary are holding up well. I can't imagine what they're going through, but they have each other and I'm happy for that. The funeral will be Saturday, I imagine it will be a very difficult day.
