thank god it's... monday!?!

I didn't think this weekend would ever end! I feel as though I've been awake forever...

Memphis came down with the flu on Friday. It hit him fast and hard! We were up all night Friday night... the poor kid couldn't keep anything down. I made a ''nest'' of blankets in the living and I ended up camped down there with him. Whenever he was sick, I aimed for one of the receiving blankets... when he was done, I threw that one in the wash and put another one down in it's place. I think I changed my pj's at least 3 times... I must have done 2 or 3 loads of laundry during the night. It was horrible.

Saturday morning, after getting about 2 hrs of sleep (not consecutive), I had to drive Jean-Claude to Ottawa - he was headed to Montreal for the day to have his tattoo finished. It was a horrible drive. The good part was that I was able to visit with Janet for a bit. Her belly is very cute and she's looking really great!

Saturday night was my office Christmas party. I hated leaving Memphis, but we only planned to ''make an appearance'' and then head home early. It was nice to have an excuse to dress up, Jean-Claude and I haven't been out in ages so it was nice. Just wish we would have been feeling more up to partying than we did. We were home by 10:30.

We didn't get much accomplished yesterday. I was hoping to clean & disinfect the house, but Memphis still wasn't feeling 100% and required alot of attention... Jean-Claude also started feeling icky, so he wasn't much help either. My brother-in-law & sister-in-law and their boys came over for a coffee... My house is way too small for those kids... they were nuts! Although it was nice to see them, I was happy to see them leave. We were pooped!

Memphis was up about every 2 hrs last night... I refused to give him any milk or nurse him because I was afraid of him being sick again... so I had him sip some water throughout the night and did alot of rocking and humming... luckily, he seems to be well on his way to feeling like himself again. I hope he has a great day today.

Needless to say, I am very happy this weekend is over... Never thought I'd be so happy about coming in to work. I need the break! ;)
