What were we thinking?!

We brought Memphis in for his 8 month portrait on Saturday. Seeing as it went so well with his 3 month old shots, we thought we'd be in & out of there in no time... plus, he's always so well behaved....

Yeah right!

Try keeping a very active, curious, newly mobile baby in a sitting position long enough to get "the shot!" He was in a great mood, smiling and laughing... and crawling EVERYWHERE! To make things even more difficult, he is teething again, so if he wasn't moving, his hands were in his mouth! It took us an hour to finally figure out that the only way we had a chance to get a picture of him smiling AND not moving, would be for one of us to hold him in a standing position and just take a picture of his upper body. After a very stressful and sweaty hour and a half we finally got 2 adorable shots of Memphis and we also managed to get a family one as well.

It was so worth it... can't wait to pick them up at the beginning of July.
